Boswell calls for federal money for farmers

Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell says the federal government needs to makean extra payment to farmers to help them weather the latest farm crisis.Boswell is a democrat from Davis City who is also a farmer. FellowDemocrats, Vice President Al Gore and Governor Tom Vilsack, say it’s time torework the Freedom to Farm Bill. Boswell stops short of advocating anyimmediate changes.Boswell says there’s no questions the crisis is real.Boswell says the crisis hasn’t made him think about giving up farming.
