State Ag Secretary says thousands of farmers face problems

Iowa Ag Secretary Patty Judge warns as many as six-thousand Iowa farmers maygo out of business by this time next year if federal action doesn’t comequickly. Judge discussed the situation with Vice President Gore yesterday.Judge says that federal “cash infusion” Gore talked about needs to comesoon.Judge says aside from a “short-term response” — federal officials mustcontinue to open more markets to U.S. goods.
