President Clinton visits

Air Force One is scheduled to land about 1 p-m as President Clinton makeshis first trip to the Hawkeye State in nearly three years. Iowa Senator TomHarkin says he invited the chief executive to visit some time ago to seewhat’s happening in Iowa schools.This afternoon, Clinton is scheduled to visit a Des Moines middle school andmeet with state, local and federal education leaders. Harkin says they willalso meet with farmers to talk about the farm crisis.After the private meeting with farmers and ag officials, Clinton isscheduled to be guest of honor at a fundraiser for Harkin in Des Moines.
