Algona Garrigan looks for state berth

The Algona Garrigan baseball team looks to take the final step tonight in aclass 2A sub-state matchup against Rock Valley. Garrigan has spent most ofthis season top ranked and put on a record setting home run display in theprocess. But, a victory tonight would earn the school its first ever trip tostate. Coach Gene Meister says like every team that gets to this point, hisis playing well but feels Rock Valley will be a difficult test.Meister says there is even more pressure in a sub-state final because bothteams are just a victory away.
