Today, the town is hosting some15-thousand bicycle riders on RAGBRAI and looks almost as if the flood neverhit. One Waverly official says you’d have to look hard to see the signs.City Administrator Dick Crane says about 65 blocks of the town were hit bythe worst of last week’s flooding, forcing the evacuation of up to14-hundred people.Crane says it’s been wonderful seeing how everyone pitched in to turn thetown around in just a week’s time. The town of 85-hundred has tripled in size as the overnight stop on the bikeride across Iowa.
