Devries signs with Lions

Barry Sanders says he won’t play for the Detroit Lions this year, but a former University of Iowa football player will. Jared Devries didn’t showup for the first day of camp with the Lions, but signed a three year dealafter working out some contract concerns. The Aplington native will move fomthe defensive tackle to defensive end.The amount of money Devries will make is not being revealed.
