ISU golfer qualifies for U-S Amatuer

Iowa State University golfer Josh Clay has qualified for the U-S AmateurOpen. Clay, a Grinnell native, shot rounds of 70 and 72 this past week inMuscatine to make the tournament at Pebble Beach. He wasn’t sure going in ifhe would qualify. Clay says he has no idea what playing Pebble Beach will belike when the tourney begins August 16th. He’s just excited at theopportunity.Clay will be a red-shirt sophomore for the Cyclones this season.
