Straw Poll could weed out some competitors

Drake University political science professor Dennis Goldford says today’sIowa Republican Party Straw Poll will probably help narrow the field ofpresidential candidates.Goldford says the Straw Poll isn’t a very representative sample of Iowans.as only two percent of Iowa Republicans may participate, but it’s theRepublicans who are most inclined to work actively for a candidate.Goldford isn’t predicting a one-two-three finish.
