ISU quarterbacks fight for top spot

Like last spring, the battle for starting quarterback at Iowa State is evenbetween juniors Sage Rosenfels and Derrick Walker. Rosenfels says the key tobecoming the starter is being more consistentWalker is a junior college transfer and says the coaches have adjusted theoffense to fit their style of play.Guard Ryan Gerke played with Walker in junior college and with Rosenfelslast year. He says either would be effective but are much different in theirstyles.Receiver Chris Anthony says either one could get the job done.Running back Darren Davis does not care who hands the ball off to him aslong as they win.The Cyclones open against Indiana State on September 2nd.
