Specialist John Farrell is assigned to the 49th Public Affairs Detachmentfrom Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He escorts reporters covering Task ForceFalcon through danger zones. While he’s seen evidence of mass murders up close, he says parts of Kosovoare strangely familiar, as rows of corn line many roads. The 27-year-old isa newlywed & missed having his first anniversary with his wife recentlywhile he bunked alone in a tent. He misses a lot of things about Iowa.Farrell says ethnic battles that’ve long been part of the region’s historyare still prevalent.
