Fish kill near Jewell under investigation

State environmental officials are looking for the cause of a fishkill,discovered yesterday in the north central Iowa town of Jewell.Kevin Baskins, spokesman for the Department of Natural Resources, says afarm supply cooperative is near the creek, but the exact cause of the spillstill isn’t known.The unnamed creek flows into the South Skunk River, which was not effected.
