Wartburg returns top QB

One of the top quarterbacks in division three suits up for his senior seasonwhen Wartburg opens against William Penn on September 4th. Wartburg coachRick Willis says Matt Wheeler should provide the leadership his team needsto achieve the team’s goal.Wheeler threw for over 21-hundred yards last season.Willis is looking for a tailback to fill the shoes of Trevor Shannon, whograduated last spring after a thousand yard season.Along with Central and Simpson, Wartburg has been a perennial contender inthe Iowa Conference, but Willis says the league has outstanding depth thisyear.
