Sycamores ready to open with Cyclones

The Iowa State Cyclones open the season at home on Thursday night againstIndiana State. The Sycamores have 18-starters back from last year’s 4-7 teamand hope to contend in the Gateway Conference this season. Indiana Statecoach Tim McGuire says the experience on the team payed off duringpre-season drills.Sophomore Sheraton Fox leads the Sycamores’ triple option attack and as afreshman was their leading rusher.After Thursday’s game, Indiana State will visit Oklahoma and McGuire saysgames against the bigger schools will help once the Gateway Conferenceseason begins.
