New Hampshire primary move surprises Iowa Republicans

One Iowa Republican Party official calls it a “shocker.” The New Hampshire Secretary of State has just set February 1st as the datefor New Hampshire’s primary. Just two weeks ago, Iowa G.O.P. officialsmoved up the date of the Iowa Caucuses to January 31st — expecting NewHampshire’s primary to be set for February 8th. Iowa republican partyexecutive director Dee Stewart admits this has thrown a monkey-wrench inplans for the Iowa Caucuses.
