Cyclones ready for Nebraska after a week off

Iowa State coach Dan McCarney says the week off was beneficial for his teambut they have a monumental task this weekend when they visit fourth rankedNebraska.McCarney says in Iowa State’s last two trips to Nebraska the game has beenover in the first quarter and he is hopeful that will change this time.McCarney says the off week allowed some of the injured to heal and ishopeful defensive back Breon Ansley and center Zach Butler will be back inthe line-up.McCarney says they did not spend a lot of time on Nebraska during the offweek, using the time to try and correct mistakes. Nebraska coach FrankSolich says the Cyclones are an outstanding running team.Solich says the Cyclones are improved in a number of areas, and says it willnot be an easy game. He says his team has accepted all the challengespresented this year and this will be another one.Solich says the Nebraska offense is starting to gain momentum since EricCrouch took over as the starting quarterback.Solich says Darren Davis is as good or better a runner than his olderbrother, Troy, was.
