Injury knocks out Cyclone receiver

The injuries continue to pile up for Iowa State. The Cyclones have lost allBig-12 receiver Damien Groce (gross), who suffered a hairline fracture inhis upper arm in Saturday’s loss to Nebraska.Cyclone coach Dan McCarney who says it is a big loss for the Cyclones.McCarney says the depth is better this season and that is also true atreceiver.McCarney says while the injuries are piling up it is something the Cyclonesmust overcome.McCarney hopes the Nebraska game did not hurt their confidence because hesays there are several winnable games remaining.McCarney says the upcoming Missouri game is an important one for theCyclones as they continue playing for a winning season.McCarney says while Missouri lost some standouts from last year they arestill putting up good numbers.
