Last blast of summer on its way out

Temperatures across southern and central Iowa and into parts of northernIowa pushed into the 80’s Tuesday. The National Weather Service says it’sgetting late in the year to have such nice weather.National Weather Service meteorologist Chuck Meyers says cool fall weatherreturns this weekend. He says we lose an average of one to one and a halfdegrees with each day into October.Meyers says next week will complete the turn around in temperatures asforecasts call for below normal temperatures in the 50’s. The Weather Service says the average date of the last high temperature of 70or greater is November 1st.
