Ethics Board allows groups to file electronically

The Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board says more and more politicalgroups in Iowa are filing their information on donations electronically.Karen Hansen, a systems analyst working on the project, says the electronicfiling is voluntary. She says they’ve been updating the software to make iteasier for all groups to file.Hansen says the software takes less time than filing by paper.She says the board is also working on making campaign finance informationavailable to the public via their website.Hansen says they hope to have the information on their website in a fewweeks.
