Reform party convention meets in Ames Saturday

Iowa Reform Party members are concerned they’ll be over-run by the “BuchananBrigade” on Saturday. The Reform party holds its state convention Saturdayin Ames. Jim Hennager was the Reform Party candidate for Governor in 1998.Hennager says they’d welcome Donald Trump and his entourage, but there’s noTrump organization in Iowa yet. Hennager says Pat Buchanan’s supporters arewelcome, too.Hennager says the Reform Party’s Iowa constitution is written in such a wayas to prevent any one candidate from taking over the party to line upsupporters as delegates to the Reform Party’s national convention nextsummer.Today’s meeting, which starts at 10:30, will be held at the StarlightVillage Hotel in Ames.
