Iowans can learn all about the wearin’ of the plaid at today’s “All ThingsScottish Celtic Fest” in Cedar Rapids. Organizers of the annualevent are planning to offer all sorts of entertainment, including a grandmarch at 1 this afternoon with bagpipes a’blaring.Fest coordinator Lynne McDole says one highlight is the “Knobbly KneesContest” which allows men in kilts to show off their legs. She says menwho’re wearing non-traditional Scottish garb can also take part by rollingup their pant legs.McDole says a variety of traditional Scottish food will also be for sale.The Celtic Fest is underway from 11 a-m until 6 p-m today only at the UshersFerry Historic Village in Cedar Rapids’ Seminole Valley Park.
