Buchanan scores big in Iowa Reform Party

Supporters of perennial presidential candidate Pat Buchanan have gained atoe-hold in the Iowa Reform Party. Buchanan is reportedly set to leave theRepublican party to launch an independent bid for the presidency. Over halfof the 80 people who were seated Saturday as voters at the Iowa ReformParty’s state convention were Buchanan supporters.That’s James Hennager, the Reform Party’s 1998 gubernatorial candidate. Hesays “Buchanan’s Brigade” is welcome, but party regulars are a bit wary.
