October 19, 1999 By admin

State officials say the trend lines are changing and “meth” isn’t used justby adult males anymore. The average meth user in Iowa used to be a manbetween 20 and 35, but it’s now hooking young women & girls.Bruce Upchurch, the leader of the Governor’s Alliance on Substance Abuse, says “meth” has invaded populations which were NOT traditionally drug users, like blue collar workers.”Meth” is an upper and it’s cheaper than cocaine. Some dealers even claimit helps dieters. So far this year, authorities have busted three-hundred-67 “meth” labs. That’s 47 more than in all of 1998.
