Eustachy expects improvement in basketball team

Iowa State basketball coach Larry Eustachy says he is much more comfortableheading into his second season at the helm. Several players with startingexperience are back from last year’s 15-15 team and the Cyclones are havinga banner recruiting year. Eustachy feels the program is ahead of schedule.A key for this season is guard play. Four newcomers join veteran MichaelNurse in the backcourt.Eustachy says the perimeter shooting will be improved.Junior forward Marcus Fizer admits there is a chance he could opt for theN-B-A after this season but says a number of factors will be involvedincluding his desire to take ISU to a postseason tournament. Fizer says post season tournament includes the N-I-T. The Cyclones open November 19th at Drake.
