Cylcones lose another player to injury

Iowa State coach Dan McCarney says the Cyclones will be without sophomoretackle Marcel Howard the rest of the season. Howard had last season cutshort with a concussion but rejoined the team this year before suffering Dizzy spells in a game earlier this season.McCarney says Howard had been suffering the effects of post concussionsyndrome. The Cyclones managed just 12-points in the loss to Colorado andMcCarney says they face an even bigger challenge against the Texas defense.He says the Longhorns are “super physical” up front.Texas is coming off a victory over Nebraska but coach Mack Brown says theparity in college football shows that no team can afford a letdown. He saysthe great teams aren’t as great as they used to be. He says the wind andweather and other variables make it so anybody can beat you on Saturday.Brown says every week is producing several suprising scores. He says theIllinois/Michigan game is another example of teams being surprised.
