Drake opens exhibition basketball play

The Drake Bulldogs open exhibition play tonight against the World Select All-Star team that played Iowa on Sunday. Drake coach Kurt Kanaskie says his team is anxious for a game, but with a little more than two weeks of practice, not much of the system has been installed.The Bulldogs did not lose a starter from last year’s team and Kanaskie says the experience has shown in the pre-season.Kanaskie says the Bulldogs feel they can become the first team at Drake to have a winning season since the mid-80s.
