McCarney says football progress shows

Despite seeing their chances of a winning season end with their loss to Oklahoma, Iowa State coach Dan Mccarney says his program has made significant strides this season. The Cyclones take a 4-6 record to Kansas for their season finale.McCarney says more depth should help the Cyclones get over the top and post a winning season.McCarney is concerned about a possible letdown from his team.Kansas coach Terry Allen says when defending Iowa State, it starts with Darren Davis.Allen says both the Jayhawks and Cyclones have been close this season to some big victories and the teams are in similar situations.Allen says without a doubt the Cyclones are improved.
