The Fort Dodge-based Sexual Assault and Outreach Center is getting a 100-thousand dollar grant from the U-P-S Foundation.Center Director Joyce DeHaan (dee’-hawn) says the U-P-S Foundation is the charitable arm of the package delivery company. DeHaan says the center had to compete with others for the grant.The center serves six north central Iowa counties and DeHaan says the grant will help them expand.The center offers a crisis line, support groups and other types of help to victims in Calhoun, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Webster and Wright counties.
