November 24, 1999 By admin

Iowa gets a “B-minus” from a group which evaluated the state’s drunken driving statistics. Mothers Against Drunk Driving or MADD joined with the GuideOne Insurance company to issue the grade this morning. GuideOne president Jeff Eaton says drunken driving is the nation’s most frequently committed violent crime.Eaton says the number of drunk driving accidents is “startling.”Lori Elliott, vice president of Polk County’s MADD chapter, says too many families are devastated by drunks who get behind the wheel.GuideOne helped found Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
