Holiday lights can be dangerous to pets

Those sparkling lights, colorful plants and other holiday decorations can be hazardous to your pet’s health. Dan Crew, the Iowa spokesman for an insurance industry group, says keeping decorations out of your pet’s reach is very important.Crew says Christmas trees pose a special hazard as the pet can eat the pine needles..Crew says extension cords to holiday lights can be dangerous, too.Crew says many of the holiday pet precautions are also used by the parents of young kids.Crew is a spokesman for the Iowa chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
