Iowa Congressman Jim Nussle commented on Friday about his recent trip to Seattle, Washington where he attended this week’s World Trade Organization meeting. Nussle says the meeting helped emphasize some important International trade issues at a time when world trade is at it’s peak.Nussle expressed concern about the elimination of future trade negotiations noting the effects that such actions might have on a typical Iowa farmer.Nussle says many people don’t understand the International trade process and it’s overall effect on the U.S. economy.Nussle indicated that both good and bad things came out of this week’s conference. Nussle is a 2nd District Republican Congressman from Manchester.
