Cyclone named Big 12 player of the week

Iowa State forward Marcus Fizer has been named the Big Twelve player of the week. Fizer averaged just over 25-points per game as the Cyclones won their own tournament over the weekend and coach Larry Eustachy says Fizer is off to a great start to this season.Eustachy says Kantrail Horton has been bothered by a bad ankle and his status for this week is uncertain.The Cyclones take on Wisconsin-Milwaukee in non conference play tomorrow night. Eustachy says the Cyclones cannot afford to look ahead to Saturday’s matchup with Iowa.
