Threat forces team to cancel European trip

A warning from the State Department about overseas travel by Americans has forced the Clarke College mens basketball team to postpone a January trip to Greece and Italy. The State Department advised that Americans, epsecially those traveling in large groups be cautious about taking trips, especially to Rome, Jerusalem and Greece due to terrorist threats of violence. Clarke College coach Jon Davison says it left him little choice, but to cancel the trip.The players had raised 30-thousand dollars for the trip but Davison says it is not worth the risk.Davison says the players understood the decision.and they hope to make the trip next year.
