Two suspects held in Algona beating

Two Algona men are charged with kidnapping and attempted murder in the Christmas Eve beating of a man. 27-year-old Christopher Danielson & 21-year-old Steven Glidden, both of Algona, are charged in the attack on 44-year-old Steven Hauptman in an Algona apartment. Hauptman was dumped in a ditch three miles from town, walked to a farmhouse & was hospitalized for surgery. He has since been released. Two women are also being questioned in the case.
