Republican presidential candidate Gary Bauer says federal authorities are hamstrung in their ability to track international terrorists planning attacks in the U-S.Bauer says if he’s elected President, he’d undue many of the restrictions which have been placed on C-I-A operatives trying to find out about terrorist plots.Bauer appeared Wednesday at a town hall meeting in Newton which drew just 10 people.Bauer is the only presidential candidate who plans to campaign in Iowa this holiday week.Bauer appeared at a forum in Iowa City yesterday afternoon. He has stops scheduled today in Keokuk (a 7am chamber of commerce breakfast), Washington (a 10am stop at Winga’s restaurant), Fairfield (1:30pm town hall meeting), Ottumwa (3pm town hall meeting), and Centerville (7pm town hall meeting).
