UNI men end losing skid

The Northern Iowa Panthers opened Missouri Valley Conference play with a 77-75 victory over Creighton in the UNI-Dome on Sunday. The Panthers erased a four-point halftime deficit in snapping a two-game losing streak.That’s U-N-I coach Sam Weaver who says his team won despite poor foul shooting. The Panthers went to the line 36-times but made only 23.Four of the Panthers starters played 37-minutes or more but Weaver says that should not be a problem.
