Latham questions possible tax cut

Another Iowa Congressman adds his vote of confidence in the re-appointment of Alan Greenspan to lead the Federal Reserve. Congressman Tom Latham says he supports having Greenspan take another four-year term as chairman of the Fed.Latham, a republican from Alexander, says he puts little stock in the tax cut announcement that’s rumored to be in President Clinton’s State of the Union address. Latham predicts there’ll be little change from Clinton’s proposed cuts from last year.
