Grassley to discuss railroad merger

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley will discuss the proposed merger of two major railroads in a meeting tomorrow in West Des Moines. Grassley wants to discuss the joining of Burlington-Northern & the Canadian National Railway. Grassley says he may call for a follow-up meeting that’ll bring officials from the two railroads to Iowa. Burlington-Northern is the second largest rail line in Iowa in terms of miles.
