Computer glitch shuts down Iowa lottery

January 20, 2000 By admin

Sales of all on-line Iowa Lottery tickets were suspended this morning due to computer problems. No tickets are being sold for Powerball, Cash-4-Life, Pick Three, and the 100-thousand-dollar Cash Game.Lottery spokeswoman Mary Neubauer says it’s hard to say how long it’ll take to fix the problem, but she says that pesky year-two-thousand bug is NOT to blame. The temporary suspension does NOT apply to instant scratch tickets or pull-tab tickets.
