10th grader caught with gun in Davenport school

A tenth grade Davenport student is in trouble with the law after allegedly packing a pistol to school. 15-year-old Morris Brown reportedly told police he brought the weapon to Central High School on Monday for protection after being involved in a fight several days ago. Davenport Schools Superintendant Jim Blanche says Brown has been suspended ten days pending a disciplinary hearing that could expell him for a year.Morris reportedly told police he bought the gun on the street last weekend. Police were given an anonymous tip that the teen was carrying the gun.
