Legislator sings the blues in fundraiser

January 31, 2000 By admin

State legislators are used to doing a lot of talking. Tonight, a Tipton representative will be using his voice in a different way — singing. Republican Dan Boddicker has formed a blues band that’ll hit the stage in Des Moines tonight in hopes of generating money for a restoration project at the state capitol.Boddicker says the musical event will focus on a large, aging mural at the top of the steps in the state capitol building.Tonight’s performance by Boddicker and “Bluezone” is slated for 7 p-m at the Tripoint Center in Des Moines.
