Warner completes dream with touchdown pass

January 31, 2000 By admin

Kurt Warner’s storybook season had a happy ending. Warner threw a 73-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Bruce with a 1:54 remaining as the St. Louis Rams downed the Tennessee Titans 23-16 in Super Bowl 34 in Atlanta. For the game, warner completes 25 of 45 passes for a Super Bowl record 414 yards and two touchdowns in being named the game’s most valuable player. Warner thanked everyone for believing in him. The touchdown pass to Bruce came just seconds after the Titans had erased a 16-0 deficit with a 43-yard field goal by Al Del Greco. Tennessee nearly tied the game on the final play when quarterback Steve Mcnair connected with Kevin Dyson, but Dyson was tackled at the one by Rams linebacker Mike Jones as time expired.
