Grassley looks at solutions for medicare

The national legislative council of the American Association of Retired Persons is scheduled to hear from Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley this morning. Grassley says he’ll update the panel on Congressional work to improve the quality of nursing home care, as well as other areas of concern.Grassley says there’s a need for a bi-partisan solution that would protect and provide private coverage and preserve the future of Medicare.Grassley says the federal government has an obligation and a responsibility to preserve the health care system.Grassley is chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Aging. He’s due to address the panel in Washington at 6:45 a-m Iowa time.
