Drake Athletic Director resigns

February 15, 2000 By admin

Lynn King has resigned as the athletic director at Drake University to take a similar job at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. King says Pacific is a growing school in a great location that presented a good opportunity. King has been at Drake since October of 1990 and during his tenure the school’s sports teams have claimed 20 conference championships and made ten appearances in N-C-A-A tournament action. One of his proudest accomplishments at Drake was the 1992 opening of the Knapp Center.
