Big snow on the way

February 17, 2000 By admin

The National Weather Service says the entire state will get a blanket of snow by tonight. Meterologist Frank Boksa of the urban Des Moines Weather Service office says the storm is following predictions thus far, although the storm is moving a little slower than expected.Boksa says the storm is picking up the things it needs to drop a lot of snow.He says the heaviest snow will come in the eastern part of the state.Boksa says the good news is that temperatures won’t drop down very much with the storm. He says the heavy snow isn’t that unusual for this time of year.
