Drake and UNI look to get back on the winning track

February 21, 2000 By admin

Northern Iowa and Drake will be looking to snap five-game losing streaks when they return to Missouri Valley action on Wednesday night. The Panthers will visit Evansville after a 66-55 loss at valley leader Indiana State on Saturday. Despite the loss coach Sam Weaver has been happy with the effort on defense. Drake plays its home finale on Wednesday against southwest Missouri State. The Bulldogs are coming off a 62-56 loss to Wichita State and junior guard Lamont Evans says time is running out to get it turned around.
