Drake, UNI and ISU are all coming off losses

The Iowa State Cyclones have fallen one spot to 18th on the latest ESPN-USA Today coaches top 25. The Cyclones are 22-4 after Saturday’s heartbreaking loss at Colorado 102-90 in overtime which included a 35-foot desperation shot at the buzzer by the Buffaloe’s Jaquay Walls to force the extra session. Northern Iowa and Drake will be looking to snap five-game losing streaks when they return to Missouri Valley action on Wednesday night. The Panthers will visit Evansville after a 66-55 loss at Valley leader Indiana State on Saturday. Despite the loss coach Sam Weaver has been happy with the effort on defense.Drake plays its home finale on Wednesday against Southwest Missouri State. The Bulldogs are coming off a 62-56 loss to Wichita State and junior guard Lamont Evans says time is running out to get it turned around.
