Governor critical of legislature’s lack of action on campaign finance reform

Governor Vilsack is critical of republican legislators who say they have nointention of passing any campaign finance reform plans this year.Vilsack has suggested several ideas, including forcing campaigns engaging inphone polling to disclose who the caller works for.Vilsack also suggests candidates for statewide offices like Governordisclose who is contributing to their campaign in the days leading up to theelection.Under current law, contributions to candidates in the last 10 days of thecampaign are not revealed to the public until AFTER the election.
