ISU faces another tough test in Longhorns

Seventeenth-ranked Iowa State opens a critical week in the Big-12 title chase when the Cyclones host 14th-ranked Texas tonight in Hilton Colesium. Iowa State coach Larry Eustachy says Longhorns’ center Chris Mihm is one of the top players in the league and says the hope is he will not have a career night.Eustachy says Texas is difficult to beat because they are so strong defensively.Eustachy says his team is happy to be involved in a title race this late in the season.Texas coach Rick Barnes says it will take a team effort defensively to slow down Marcus Fizer.But Barnes says the bigger concern may be Iowa State’s three-guard line-up.Barnes says a team has to be good in all phases to make a run at a conference title and he says Iowa State is.
