ISU on the brink of history

Iowa State stands a victory away from claiming its first conference title in 55-years. The Cyclones took sole possession of the Big-12 lead with Saturday’s 72-61 rout of Oklahoma State but coach Larry Eustachy says the Cyclones will have work to do, beginning Wednesday on the road at Texas Tech.Marcus Fizer led the Cyclones with 29 points, Michael Nurse hit five three-pointers for 15 points. Stevie Johnson and Jamaal Tinsley each had 12 points. Iowa State is now 24-4 overall and 12-2 in the Big Twelve.
