Iowans come close, but no jackpot

The 100-million dollar “Powerball” jackpot went unclaimed in last night’s drawing, but Iowa Lottery spokesperson Mary Neubauer says several people came close.Iowans in Ankeny, Livermore, Davenport and West Des Moines matched five of the numbers without the powerball to win the second place prize of 100-thousand dollars. Nuebauer says the rollover will push the jackpot for Saturday’s drawing to 150-million dollars.Nuebauer says two-point-two million dollars worth of tickets were sold Wednesday in Iowa.
